Abstract

Mobile Home Automation Systems (MHAS) have emerged as a transformative technology, integrating various aspects of household management into a cohesive and user-friendly framework. These systems leverage mobile devices to provide remote control and automation of home appliances, lighting, security systems, and environmental controls. The core components of MHAS typically include sensors, actuators, communication modules, and a centralized control unit, often interfaced through a mobile application. The advancements in wireless communication technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Zigbee, coupled with the proliferation of the Internet of Things (IoT), have significantly enhanced the functionality and accessibility of MHAS. Users can monitor and control their home environment in real-time, receive notifications about security breaches or system malfunctions, and automate routine tasks based on predefined schedules or sensor inputs. This project involves developing a mobile application to control lighting using three methods: buttons, voice commands, and a timer. The application primarily includes user authentication and the sending of notifications. It allows for the recording of the date and time of LED state changes in a real-time database, which is used to create a predictive model of the LED states. Additionally, the lighting is also controlled using motion and light sensors.
